Lisa began studying yoga over a decade ago while living in Boston. She moved to the Bay Area in 2009 and was fortunate to find the teachers at The Yoga Room after a shoulder injury from a car accident left her in chronic pain and, she thought, unable to practice. She learned to use props to support and heal her body and walked away from that injury stronger and dedicated to a more healing practice. Lisa’s hypermobility has presented another unique challenge to her practice and has taught her much about strengthening the body through mindful, alignment-focused work. It also taught her much about humility and intention. Lisa’s classes are dynamic and accessible to all level students. Lisa is also a certified holistic nutritionist.
